Job Description

The right person for this role will lead the design and development of cloud-based infrastructure and integrations, ensuring service resilience and information security. You’ll be building a high performing multi-disciplinary engineering team and allowing us to meet our business objectives as we deliver market-leading services to our global partners and customers who are developing life saving products.

Mix of Office in London (Kings Cross) and remote working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the definition of the default, central technical architecture and implementation plan(s) for integration and pipeline solutions, which meets our diverse, multi-region and multi-regulatory, business needs.
  • Leading the technical delivery of projects through the development lifecycle.
  • Define the product specific integration and dataflow architectures.
  • Define architectural strategies and best practice approaches for integrations.
  • Develop quality standards to ensure data quality and integrity across various database systems.
  • Definition of canonical data models and implementation of these in the integration landscape.
  • Driving consistent ways of accessing data and information across the client and providing self-service technologies where possible, to make it easier for our business to find and use the right information.
  • Running and taking leadership of customer and partner workshops.
  • Assure the quality of outputs, manage technical resources and suppliers and escalate risks.
  • Providing thought leadership of industry best practices and how their use can  reduces cost, time to market and  enable maximum exploitation of data assets. Champion Industry 4.0 maturity within our function; Champion IIoT and modern manufacturing integration approaches; Champion use of public cloud in operations & automation.
  • Where required facilitate and develop PoCs to demonstrate new concepts or technology choices.


What would convince us:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience gained from being in an integration solutions architect /integration manager role
  • Technology specialisms such as: IT strategy, applications, infrastructure, architecture, cyber security
  • Experience in delivering within agile, waterfall and ‘semi-Agile’ frameworks
  • Experience in hybrid cloud integration, API-led architectures, and digital-era Integration governance methodologies
  • Using modern integration platforms and services supporting managed file transfer, batch, near real-time, real-time integration’s, micro-services and serverless
  • A deep and broad understanding of IT/technology from an API / integration perspective
  • Programme management experience and track record of successful delivery of projects.
  • Experience working in a regulated sector
