Job Description

Ori is looking for a passionate electronics design engineer to be responsible for all elements of Ori’s electronic and sub-system design.

You will be involved in creating challenging, complex and novel products that are used in the manufacture of Cell and Gene Therapies. This position will interact with key stakeholders and upper management across the business and is critical to the success of our products and company.

Hybrid: Cambridge, UK and Remote

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Electronics Engineer has the following responsibilities;

  • Ownership of Electronic system design for our portfolio of products, from PCB design to system wiring schematics.
  • Test and Verification, to both EMC and Electrical Safety standards
  • Specification and selection of systems and platforms used in electronics design.
  • Participation in design reviews Design and Process FMEAs, root cause analysis and other similar activities.
  • Collaborating with Manufacturing to ensure security of supply of critical electronic components.
  • Recruitment, Line management and personal development of a compact team of highly skilled Electronics Engineers to suit Ori’s growing requirements.

Experience

What would convince us:

  • Demonstrated Electronics design capability in consumer or medical product applications.
  • Experience working in an ISO 13485 product development QMS.
  • Experience working with 61010/61000/14971 standards and good working understanding of EMC and Electrical safety directives.
  • Experience of both New Product Introduction (NPI) ramp and product support phases of product lifecycle.
  • Ability to identify, lead and motivate a highly skilled team.
  • Be a role model to both the electronics team the wider business.
