Ori is looking for a Technology Buyer to join us for the first time and perform a key role in the procurement of highly complex technology for the company.

Reporting into the Director of manufacturing and supply chain, the buyer will be responsible for the supply and procurement of both direct and indirect materials, purchase order raising, stock management and demand planning. They will also be involved in supplier negotiations, and management and independently identifying cost saving opportunities and vendor risks.

The buyer holds a key role in the business, liaising between the engineering and the finance department to ensure timeous delivery of parts and materials.

Responsible for ensuring that the procurement procedures are always complied with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to source and procure low to high volumes of technical medical and biotech equipment on all levels of complexity.
  • Manage the buying process for procuring production stock & special Dev orders in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Maintain 100% levels of stock all locations.
  • Generating SKUs for new products and special orders; maintaining all relevant supplier records.
  • Assisting and updating stock counts, manage quarterly stock cleanse.
  • Assist Finance Dept. in resolving supplier invoice queries.
  • Chasing back orders & updating Internal Customers & Purchase Order dates.
  • Manage problems and schedule changes and ensure changes are reflected within the ERP systems.
  • Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
  • Establish working relationships with vendors to strengthen business and support company strategies.
  • Maintain focus on standardisation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
